Hello family and friends. I guess it's been a while since we've posted anything up heea'. But hey whatcha' goina' do?

Anyways. as you can see.. It's a Boy!! :D yay! we just found out today. Oh, and when I figure out how to get the "V.H.S."?? onto the computer I might just put the vid of the little guy up here. Ok, as usual, we are way behind on events. And this is, of course, the big one...uh..ONE. Opal turned a whole year Oct. 20, 2007. It was such an event that Shiva and Ginesh came. Kinda overdressed for it though...

Of course she was SPOI-OI-LT by her grandparents.

Josh "safety testing" the toys. There was much crying when it was taken away.

Jeanne was also here, but as usual, she is on the other side of the camera...sorry Gma!!!

Here is the health-cake I made from carrots and sticks and no sugar. It weight 8 pounds. I think it will keep until Opal's 2nd, so that's good.

I guess a post is long overdue! Sorry fam, I tell ya, raising a kid aint' no walk in tha park! ..but it's moments like these that make me forget allll my troubles. She is a beautiful kid. we are blessed.

Scottie and Chrystine gave Opal her first first birthday party (actually 9 months, but they didn't want to miss it!) That there is a "jacob's ladder" which is magical. So are Scottie's chops.

Opal is sitting in a sandbox outside of a cute consignment shop in Pemberton.
Opal is either showing Andrew or learning from him here, I can't remember. I guess more teeth means seniority.

Our mums said there weren't enough pictures up here so I'm just going to post a bunch. Opal is 6 months in these and has two teeth coming in. She is starting to try crawling and often ends up a good couple of feet away from where I put her. As proud as I am, this also makes me nervous. Time for fencing.

Can't get enough of the food shots! Those are peas by the way...

Alright Opal, you're already 5 MONTHS...time to eat. And what's for dinner? MMM yummy mushy rice-glue cereal. It's probably just as good on you as in you. Not bad spoon manipulation, though. I see a great future of launching spagetti across the kitchen.
It's a good thing we can still breastfeed, or we'd both have to quit our jobs and devot our entire days to feeding. Note the towel completely covering baby. Too bad for dad's nice white shirt...

It's finally Spring and time for family hiking trips. This is St. Something park on the North part of Lake Washington. You can see that Opal is a natural woodsperson by her red long underwear onesey. Her father also looks like he belongs in the woods.

Her mother, on the other hand, looks like she just stepped out of High Society magazine. Uh... Yeah.

The good thing is, Opal got her mother's eyes. The other good thing is, she didn't get her eyebrows.

We just moved downstairs (our third apartment in the same building) to a MUCH bigger place. "Uncle Mike" came just in time to help us move...he held Opal the whole time while I moved all the heavy stuff. Thanks Mike!
